Welcome to Youngtimer ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") explain how you, as a car owner, may use our AI-powered chatbot and related tools to get car care information, maintenance tips, and general automotive guidance (the "Service").

By using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. Who Can Use the Service

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your location
• Own or have permission to manage the car you're asking about
• Agree to follow these Terms while using the chatbot

2. Nature of the Service

Our AI chatbot allows you to ask car care questions related to:

• Diagnosis of potential vehicle issues
• Repair guidance and maintenance tips
• Service options and care recommendations

To provide relevant responses, you may share details such as your car's brand, make, model, and year.

Youngtimer may make mistakes. Please use with discretion.

The Service cannot:

• Perform physical repairs or maintenance
• Guarantee accuracy for your specific vehicle condition
• Replace a certified mechanic's inspection or advice

Always confirm important decisions with a qualified automotive professional.

3. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete details about your vehicle, including brand, make, model, and year
• Using the advice at your own discretion
• Ensuring any repairs or changes are done safely and legally
• Always referring to your owner's manual or a repair manual specific to your vehicle make and model for detailed instructions and precautions

4. No Professional Advice

The Service provides general information only and is not a substitute for professional automotive diagnosis, repair, or maintenance. We do not guarantee that information provided will be accurate, complete, or applicable to your specific vehicle. Use all recommendations at your own risk.

5. Places and Third-Party Results

If the Service shows places such as mechanics, shops, or service providers:

• Results are based on ranked ratings, reviews, and other quality signals
• They are provided for informational purposes only
• They are not endorsements of any provider

You should vet and verify any service provider before using their services.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying AI systems or software
• Scrape or programmatically extract content or AI-generated output from the Service
• Use outputs to develop competing AI models or services
• Input harmful, offensive, or misleading content

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and technology related to the Service is owned or licensed by the Company and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Responses generated by the AI may not be unique and may match outputs given to other users. Using AI-generated outputs does not grant you ownership of any third-party content that may be reflected in those outputs.

8. Beta and Experimental Features

Some features may be labeled as "Beta" or "Experimental." These are provided "as-is" without any warranty, may be changed or removed at any time, and may not function as intended.

9. Third-Party Services

We use certain third-party services to operate and improve the Service. By using Youngtimer, you also agree to be bound by the terms and policies of these providers, as applicable:

• Vercel – hosting and deployment services (vercel.com/legal)
• Groq – AI model inference and processing (groq.com/terms)
• Google Places API – location and business information (developers.google.com/maps/terms)
• Google Ads – advertising and marketing (policies.google.com/terms)
• c15t – cookie consent and privacy management (c15t.com/legal)
• Clerk – user authentication and management (clerk.com/legal/terms)

We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third-party services. Your interactions with them are solely between you and the respective provider.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. This may include details you enter about your vehicle, such as brand, make, model, and year, and any car care questions you submit (diagnosis, repair, or service inquiries).

We use this information solely to provide, improve, and personalize the Service.

11. Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any interruption or loss of access.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
• We make no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability
• We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to, loss of data, vehicle damage, or personal injury

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Except for small claims disputes or claims for injunctive relief by either party, any dispute or controversy arising out of, in relation to, or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service shall be finally settled by binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act and the then-current rules of JAMS (Judicial Arbitration & Mediation Services) by one (1) arbitrator appointed in accordance with such rules.

Unless otherwise required by law, the arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles County, California. The exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any court proceedings permitted under these Terms will be the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you waive any objection to jurisdiction and venue in such courts.

Any dispute resolution proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You agree not to bring any legal action more than one (1) year after the date on which the cause of action arose.

You have the right to opt out of binding arbitration within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms by emailing us at hi@youngtimer.app with your full name and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Youngtimer regarding the Service.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part shall be deemed severed and shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

Failure by Youngtimer to exercise or enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and will apply only to the specific instance stated.

You may not assign these Terms or any rights or licenses granted hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
